Will Photoshop 2 allow you to vary the timing of slides in a slideshow to sync the changes with music? Do I need Elements to do this? I have not yet purchased it and I cannot find any info that specifically says I can or cannot do this. I have HP software that allows me to put music to a slideshow, but the timings are all in full 1-second intervals, hence, no synchronization. I purchased MS Digital Image Suite 9 and it does not even allow you to create a slideshow.

Does anyone know of affordable software that will?
I know Windows Movie Maker does exactly what I want, but I want full screen slideshows,

Try Memories on TV. You can vary the length of the transition and view time and several neat transition styles, including the Ken Burns effect. I can’t remember how much I paid for it, but it couldn’t be much, since I bought it without reading a review.

Try Slide Show Movie Maker (SSMM).

It’s freeware and pretty impressive.

There are any number of ways to accomplish this, but Photoshop has no audio facility at all.

One way to do it is to edit a video of your images. For example Adobe Premiere will allow you to synch to music down to single frame accuracy. Premiere is not cheap, though you may be able to find cheaper video editing software – try posting your question to rec.video.desktop.

OTOH, Karoke software might jsut do the trick:
