help!!! this is driving me crazy

Hi Everyone!

I have a silly problem that I just can’t figure out. I am taking a black & white logo and changing the black print to red. I choose the color picker to select the shade of red I want click okay, but in the tools window (where you can see the fore & background colors) it shows gray shades. This also happens when I play with text coloring.

What do I need to change to see & use the actual color I am picking?

Your image is Grayscale Mode, and the color you’re choosing is "inelligible." First, choose Image > Mode > RGB.

"this" should have it’s license revolked. That would solve the driving problem.

The image is in grayscale go to image / mode pick RGB color
