… and I always thought that Frenchmen were good with the ladies ( I assume someone called Rose is a lady) – ah well another illusion shattered .

Just a thought – if it was an evaluation version and someone downloaded a warez patch to stop it expiring wouldn’t that also remove the evaluation message ????

And why would you want to do that; does the splash look that bad? Or because there is, oh I don’t know, stuff like "evaluation version" written on it… One speculates…

I dislike splash screens as well, if for not other reason they take a little more boot time. Lighten up.

If your life is affected by or you become annoyed by waiting an extra two perhaps three seconds it’s time to take a long walk in the woods.

Hello,
The Splash screen – whilst potentially annoying – can also be useful – to inform you of any problems within
Photoshop – eg – I recently installed a tv/video capture card (which installed new twain drivers)…
Photoshop failed to load – the Splash screen would always hang at the same point – ‘installing xyz twain drivers’
once I sorted out the twain drivers I was back in business.

I always open photoshop at the begginning of my working day just before i go to my kitchen and then prepare tea,
why stay behind the screen like a zombie?

actually i used to find it helpful to put all the programs that i will be using in my startup menu in windows, so i switched on my ‘puter, went away, and everything had started up when i came back.
it started getting irritating when i just needed to switch it on to send a quick email or so on and so forth, and i had to wait for everything to load.

it can be handy, though.
