l am having a problem printing,, l use ps 7.01, and an Epson 1290 printer , everything was fine up to a few days ago when , the shadows ,or should l say the black on the paper started to go green, l have cleaned the jets several time and the test pattern is fine ,
the photographs are 100% correct , but not when some one has a black jacket on ,it looks like the jacket is made of shinny silk .greenish,,

It’s only a guess – well 5 actually 🙂
(1) if you’re talking about photographs you’re probably scanning them in – have you changed your scanner settings, cleaned the glass, started using different film etc etc.
(2) If you’re using a digital camera have you changed the settings, cleaned the lens etc etc
(3) have you changed your printer profile
(4) are you using different printer paper
(5) are you *sure* your ink isn’t running low

Certainly this could be a printer profiling problem, but it’s possible your light magenta is out.

It’s hard to tell visually when this happens, but if you see bands of green that’s a good indicator of an empty cart. Try swapping in a new color cartridge and see if the problem goes away.
