Sorry, I forgot a sig.

Hi, Gang:

Some time ago, I recall reading here a few pretty insistent recommendations regarding a gereral. all-around, handy-dandy, ipsy-pipsy, A-number-one, how-to-do-it and
look-it-up-quick-’cause-I-gotta-get-this-job-out reference book for Photoshop 7.

What I want is pretty much described above although, as an engineer, I’m comfortable with pretty-exotic technical volumes as well.

I saw a book in a local shop that "seemed" to be the kind of book I seek but will greatly appreciate your collective recommendations before I lay out all that bread for one or several books.

The book that sort of caught my fancy was "Photoshop 7 Bible" by Deke McClelland. Since that’s the only one I’ve seen, maybe someone who is familiar with it can compare it to whatever he/she thinks is better.

Many thanks,

Deke’s book is good— a little photo-centric
but comprehensive and clear….and, if you’re a
PC user he doesn’t make you feel like a slug.
Personally, I like Willmore better, but they’re
about even in both quality and content.

There are better books for specific topics,
but those 2 are the best general
purpose things, IMO
