I have been using PSP for quite some time, and using that program it is quite simple to add a frame to photos that I have taken. I am 75, and our grandchildren knowing how I like to play with my computer, recently bought me an upgrade to PS CS from my old (unused) PS5. I feel comfortable with the changeover; however, for the life of
me, I cannot figure out how to add a frame to my new photos. Can someone, hopefully
in the most simplistic manner possible, tell me how I go about doing this in PS CS? Thanks, and GOD Bless,

Not sure what you mean when you say "add a frame". Here is one way to add space around an image and put a color or texture in it.

With you image open, go to the menu bar and select IMAGE>CANVAS SIZE.

A widow will open. The top part gives the current size of the file in pixels. The bottom has boxes for you to make the image larger. Put a check in the RELATIVE box and then type the number of pixels you want for a border in the width and height boxes. Click OK.

This will add extra space around the image. You can click on this with the MAGIC WAND and apply a color.

OR

You can add a layer and move it below the layer with your image. Then you can fill the new layer with a texture, apply effects and otherwise enchance the frame.

For starters, there are some frames that come with CS. Look in the Actions menu. It is called "Wood Frame 50 pixels". And there are more frames supplied. Go to the Actions menu and take the little ">" arrow at the top, then LOAD ACTIONS and select "Frames.atn".
