No matter what I do I cannot get the correct colors to print from files created in PS& on the 2500CP. All other software prints correctly. I have tried almost every combination of ICC profiles, generic CMYK, no color correction, etc. colors come out muddy and dull. Green looks like turquoise, blue looks like midnight blue, but dull, red looks like a washed out tomato color. I took a color bar K-C-M-Y-MY-CM-CY created in PS7 and overlayed the same colors created in Corel10, then printed it. The PS7 color bar was muddy and the overlay was bright and correct colors.
HELP!!

In my experience, that’s a tough printer to get colors right. Having said that, first, DO NOT compare the output of images from PS with those output from a non-color managed application. You WILL see a difference, that’s normal.

The best advice is to spend 15 minutes at Ian Lyons’ most excellent site on color management.

And

Basic InkJet Printing < http://www.computer-darkroom.com/ps7_print/ps7_print_mac.htm>

These have helped countless others.
