Hello,
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with this one…
I use PS primarily for web design and publishing. All graphics I create show up darker in IE. This is obviously a color management issue. The current settings are:
Working Spaces
Settings: Web Graphics Defaults
RGB: sRCG IEC61966-21
CMYK: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
Gray: Gray Gamma 2.2
Spot: Dot Grain 20%
Color Management Policies
RGB: Off
CMYK: Off
Gray: Off
Advanced Mode:
Conversion Options
Engine: Adobe (AEC)
Intent: Relative Colormetric
Use black point compensation (on), use dither 8-bit channel images (on)
Advanced Controls
Both "desaturate monitor" and "blend RGB colors using gamma" are off.
View> Proof Setup> Working CMYK.
These settings have always worked for me. Until a few days ago. Usually I would check my PS 6.0 settings, but I’ve tried working with graphics in that and launching them in IE with the same ugly result.
When created in Macromedia Fireworks MX everything seems normal.
My monitor is Trinitron Compatabile 9300K G2.2, so I don’t think it’s a gamma issue.
I’ve deleted the Preferences and Color Settings from the Applications> Adobe> folder, with no change.
Also, something that has also never happened before, is Adobe keeps telling me to change my scratch disks drive. Could there be a reason for this? My RAM hasn’t given me any problems.
If anyone could shine some light on this subject I would be eternall grateful.
