McAfee did it again. Upon install, it took a Photoshop-needed dll with it. Does anyone know where I can get it & and where to put it?
Thanks…
Patty

I did a search on gear*.dll on my system [PS7, Win XP Home] and found no such file.

That’s not a Photoshop file. I found references to it with SoundBlaster and WinTV. Try a google search.

Patti,

I have GEAR32SD.DLL on my system, as part of a Pinnacle Studio DV installation. From a Google search it appears to also be part of the Deep Paint application if you happen to have that. Checking out the file, it is associated with AccuSoft’s ImageGear which apparently is used by many different applications. While I suspect it may normally be installed in the path of the application that uses it, you might be able to place it in the Windows/System or Windows/System32 directory on your PC and find that resolves your problem. I zipped the DLL and uploaded it to my website if you’d like to grab it. It’s roughly a 300KB download at <http://jazzdiver.com/photoshop/gear32sd.zip>

Hope that helps,

Daryl
