How do I stop PhotoShop 7 high jacking pdf files ???

Hi
Photoshop 7 high jacks pdf files and prints then with a grey and white chequered grid making it impossible to read the file.
I an using a note book, with photoshop 7, I have Adobe reader 5 installed. 1, How to stop photoshop 7 high jacking pdf files
2, Or remove the grey and white chequered back ground.

This problem did not occur with ver 6, 7 is an upgrade, so what an I doing wrong ???

Hi

You go in to "My computer", "Control Panel", then "File Options". Here you
should choose "File types", on this page, you can select which programs opens what extensions…

You told Photoshop to associate itself with PDF when you set it up.
