i’d like to preserve a photo taken some twenty years ago as it’s seen better days

it’s been in direct sunlight and has faded some 60%. part of the photo hidden by the frame remains intact.

is there a way of getting the colours back, or is this the end of the photo?

thanks

Try converting to Lab mode, and move the endpoints of the a and b curves around to get a closer match to the remaining color.
