I’ve released plugins for Illustrator and Photoshop which wrap artwork (e.g. a label) around a bottle or cylinder, showing the front elevation. They are geometrically accurate and produce high quality results.

An example may be seen here:

Note that the Illustrator plugin does an accurate vector distortion of paths, but not placed images; to distort a layout with images, the Photoshop plugin can be used (after rasterising if necessary).

That cools. Does this work with the bottle in any orentation or only on the ‘up n up’?

That’s nice. For those who haven’t yet had the misfortune to upgrade, or have better uses for the money, there is now another way.

For anyone that might follow this thread, I fully recommend the upgrade to Illy CS. It is FAR SUPERIOR to version 7 (what I had before).
