An odd problem…

It seems that the image I am working on is shown darker than it is supposed to be. If I save the file as any type of image file, or as a ..psd and open it in a different program, the colors all appear much lighter. Even when I open the .psd in Paint Shop Pro or Fireworks, it has the same problem. Any advice?

Convert the image to sRGB before you save it. Programs that do not use profiles (the majority of programs don’t) will open the image in a color space that is sRGB or close to sRGB, no matter what the profile says.
