I’m trying to come up with a logo image for the phrase
‘Cook the Books’.

So far I am having no luck. I have come up with some horrible images, like a chef cooking a book, or a book on fire. Not that they are bad, but I just can’t draw them.

If anyone wants to have a shot and email me their efforts, please feel free. I desperately need help.

Lotness,

please don’t take it personal. I want to make a point by the way, since you need some help with logo design.

Maybe some sincere colleagues designers are willing give you some hints just from the heart, but please all of you, be aware, that creativity has a price or should I say: is priceless:-)

First you should offer another designer a decent compensation for that intellectual effort, especially when yourself you find it hard to overcome. You know, it’s not easy to come up with a good idea, then transfer it into graphic language. Thinking, sketching and doing all that work in a graphic software takes time and talent and a lot learning that should be compensated accordingly.

Having had a look at your site to see what sort of work you produce I was wondering if you’d thought of downloading some clipart – assembling it into an image in Photoshop on one layer and then tracing over it on a new layer.

You are obviously not related to the other Newton

Hmmm, a rather obscure comment Stephan. Would you care to elucidate? 😉

Sadly, ’tis you that looks the fool. Why? Well let me say that I wouldn’t pay £20 a week, never mind £20 an hour to somebody seeking ‘renumeration’ as opposed to ‘remuneration’

A simple typing error on your part?

I think not ………………….. you’re just not half as smart as you think you are.

Know what I mean 😉

No… what DO you mean??

Yes, it was a typo.. but, this isn’t a spelling contest. And I would never work for such a sanctimonious and humourless person as yourself.

Haven’t you got anything better to do?

I take it that’s a ‘no’.

You left the gauntlet on the floor.

Like I thought you would.

I mean that you come across as someone who believes they are smarter than their postings show them to be.

Yeah ….. right!

Too right!
