Hi all, I have an action in PS CS which opens, sharpens, color balances, and saves JPEGS, in what is suposed to be rapid succession. Problem is, it requires a mouse click for every JPEG options window when saving the files. This isn’t going to work for 2000-file folders, I need it to be automatic.

One of our gurus suggested _removing_ the save command and checking the ‘override action "save as" commands’ option in the batch window, but then nothing is saved – all the files are the way they were when I go check afterwards.

I’m sure this is a simple problem but I can’t seem to chase it down in the various help venues I’ve tried. Any thoughts greatly appreciated! -cmb

Don’t remove the step. Just check Override. Or try Save and Close.

On the left side of the Actions palette there are little box icons which are undecipherable to the human brain. These control whetehr or not your action accepts user input. I always get confused by this, so (every single time) I either toggle it or check the online guide. I regularly run thru a zillion images, doing things like changing the size, the profile, whatever. Every time I do it, if I get the dialogs, I just hit that icon.
