PS : script, error when converting from grayscale to bitmap

When i run the following code , the code works properly for (psConvertToGrayscale) but when i do it for psConvertToBitmap , it gives me an error " the argument is not valid " what am i doing wrong ?

docRef.ChangeMode (psConvertToGrayscale)
Call docRef.Flatten
docRef.ChangeMode (psConvertToBitmap)
