Hi I purchased PhotoShopCS for Dummies and on page 79 its talks about "Using the Image dialog box"

It says to resize an image and set the image resolution, follow these steps:

1. Open the image at the highest resolution possible.

For example, if you’re opening Photo CD, select the 2048 x 3072 option from the Resolution drop-down box.

My question is I am opening a photo from a digital camera that I have placed on my computer and I can not find a Resolution drop-down box. Is there anyone that can tell me how to find the resolution drop-down box? I have searched this Dummy book and can’t seem to find it anywhere.

If you can help this Dummy I would really appreciate it!

Thanks : )

"Photo CD" is a format invented by Kodak mainly for scanning negatives, which saves the images at 3 different resolutions. Your camera photos will only have 1 resolution so you can ignore this paragraph as it seems to be misleading to any beginners who don’t know what "Photo CD" format is. I don’t know of any other file format that saves in multiple resolutions.

That’s because a digicam is not a PhotoCD.
