I have a downloaded animated signature that has a quill pen which scribes my name "Peter" I wanted to change it to stop at the last ‘R" so to just scribe "Pete". I brought up the layers palette and just erased the r on the layers that had Peter on but ended up with the quill pen in several different positions on the first layer . I haven’t a clue as to what I have done wrong but wonder if someone would tell me how to do this properly , thanks Pete

Sounds like the writing and the pen are on different layers in each frame and you’ve made all the pen position layers visible in the same frame.
