Hi there

I’m trying to understand what the various auto correction features do in Photoshop.

Specifically, I’m trying to understand what the manual equivalents would be on an RGB image.

I know Bruce Fraser likes auto color but with setting some of the options on an image by image basis. But what is it actually doing and how would I do the same steps manually?

Any clues would be appreciated.

In Photoshop press F1 (for Help) and then select Index. Under A you will find Auto Color, etc. Check out all the entries under Auto, as they give information on what Auto is doing and how to customise the Auto Color etc for your own preferences.
