I just acquired a kodak PCD film scanner 4050.
I got the scanner from an print-house who used it years back together with an sun solaris computer.

I am trying to find out some information about how to make it work. I am using an old mac G3 with a scsi connection and scanner software named CD 1200.
I got the software from Kodak but i can not make it work, so i an kind of stock right now.

Does anyone know of a plugin to photoshop that makes it possible to scan into photoshop ?

If you can help me with some information please let me know

Thanks for reading

i use this scanner daily. how much did you pay for it? if you dont mind me asking?
ours uses a photoshop plugin. The CS 1200 software is only good for converting tiffs or jpegs to PCD files. It wont run your scanner. Its designed for a Kodak PDC 1000 scanner (35mm only). Let me know if you dont get it going and ill look into getting the plugin for you. dont email me… use this thread.

good luck.

Hello,

I’ve also acquired a PCD 4050 scanner and have the same problem gettin it to work. Where can I find a manual and get the plug-in software?

The software on Kodak’s web site only contains the 1.1.3 update. I nee the entire install CD to load the software and see if there is even an hope to get it running.

I’m also willing to pay a nominal amount to get these items.

Thanks,

Larry Menzin
