Hello and thanks for looking

I Am an avidvisitor and user of this group though, and I wanted to post my latest work
on here. I have just finished a digital rendition of a downhill mountainbiker and think it
turned out exceptionally well. I was wanting to let youstake a look. Originally hand drawn a
nd then scanned and finished inPhotoshop! …
it is a peice of abstract work now.

I guess nobody in here can read??? I believe I said it was abstract!!! In case you are unaware of the term, this is the definition:

Abstract:
Having an intellectual and affective artistic content that depends solely on intrinsic form rather than on narrative content or pictorial representation: abstract painting and sculpture.

I accept beneficial cristicism,. but unfortunately I guess there is none of that in here! Let me see your artwork, and I will show you mine… then we can compare..

thanks for your time..
now go away!

😉

"abstract art" is not an excuse for bad art.

what we have here is clearly pictorial content my friend. i would even say that there is a very strong narrative content or at the very least the implications. this is unequivocally a bike, al;though a very crudely rendered one. it is in no way abstract… have u looked at abstract art recently or cubism? it seems as though you have discovered the term but have no real idea what it means in reality.
you should not throw stones when u live in a glass house. learn to draw. do lots of it. then you can come back and brag about it. u may even get the approbation of your peers…
the ability to do good abstract work will follow on from this education. the composition on this picture sucks frankly. it looks as if you have traced over a photograph with crayons and not done that very well either. this is either a clear sign that you can not draw or brilliant irony. i am persuaded it’s the former…
i would take a guess that you are still in high school, so u have plenty of time to learn and practice.
go to life drawing classes… anything to improve the skill of drawing. u will be glad of it i swear,
