A Photoshop 7 file (108 Mo) I was working on refuses to open after a system XP Pro crash. I have a dual Xeon with 2Go RAM and NVidiaPro with 128Mo.
The message is "unexpected file end"The file has obviously been corrupted. Can I somehow get it back, even without all the layers ?
Thank you for your time.

The file is most likely toast. But, you can try to open it in Image Ready, Paint Shop Pro, or Irfanview and if it opens save it again.

Doubt that’ll work, but it’s worth a try.

Thnx, I’ve tried Image Ready. It won’t open in my 3D program either. The curious bit it’s that it still weighs 108Mo and the vignette is ok so it’s like… there, but it isn’t. Infuriating.
Thnx anyway.

Yes, the file is probably toast, but if you really had a system crash you should check your hardware and drivers very carefully. XP is very solid and takes something pretty bad to crash it.

I’ll contact the guys who assembled my machine on Monday. In the mean time I’m reconstructing everything again.
Thnx anyway.
