Which is thought to be the best book to buy.
I have done 4 night school classes on PS so I
am fairly proficient but after a head injury I forget
vital bits of what I am doing.
Any advise is welcome.

Hi Dave, difficult, I find the more I learn the more I change favourite book, but Photoshop 7 for Photographers (Martin Evening) comes close to perfection for my present needs, and with a superb CD to accompany. I found the chunky Photoshop a good read, and more comprehensive, probably the most useful for reference?

It depends what you mean by "best". Best Tips/Tricks? Best Reference? Best tutorials?
The Photoshop Bible fills in most of the blanks for me, but I still find myself coming here with (sometimes stupid) questions that are answered in the manual if one can locate them.

I’d agree with Tom. Martin Evening’s book is by far the best.

my favourite how-to by a long way is Photoshop 7 WOW! Book – amazing stuff and nice CD full of useful presets and other goodies
another pretty ok book is Photoshop 7 Tips and Tricks – but WOW! craps all over it really
