Digital Pictures have unwanted date and year burned into them? Good way to get rid of it?

I’m using some digital stills in a photoshop project that will later go into a Premiere Pro video Project.

These stills were taken from a family members digital still camera and apparently they unknownly had the date, month and year burn feature on before the pictures were shot. Every picture shows the date and year on the bottom right corner and in heavy "RED"

Can someone give me some ideas on what I should or hopefully can do to take the unwanted burn off?

Thanks!

I would use the clone tool "color" over the date with some color/texture that surrounds the date.

The healing brush can be tried, but I am not so sure that it is your best choice, because it will likely "mix" the red in with the source color.
