Adice for Purchase of a Lap (Win.XPP) for Photographer

I intend to aquire a lap for field-use to handle communications, digital image storage, transmission and review. Can anyone comment on the most used make among profesionals, functional requirements, performance, incl. size monitor? Thanks, Manfred

I’m happy with my Toshiba laptop. It has a built in SD reader (although, higher end cameras probably use MD or CF) along with all the other standard features, USB/Firewire, WiFi etc. It’s just a 15" model and it’s battery life on low power mode will last about 4 hours, while watching movies or listening to MP3’s. I wouldn’t go with anything less, but I guess it depends on how "portable" you’d like to be.
