Photoshop 6 was working well on Win 2000, 512 MB RAM, but with Version 7.0.1 the following problem occurs:
while working (especially moving layers)suddenly I see some lines in red, green, blue, the screen freezes; if I try to save, the message "Runtime Error! R 6025 – pure virtual function call" occurs, saving is no longer possible, sometimes blue-screen.
I have to reboot the system. This happens on and on. Some days the programm works well for some hours, some days the trouble starts within the first 15 minutes.
Thanks for any help!!

I’m having the same problem, working on a p4 2GHz with 512 MB ram with XP. Looking at the activities at the same time I see that I only use about 50% of the RAM, but the CPU goes right up to 100% when I get message.
Some help would be nice…

sometimes blue-screen.<<

Indicative of a driver problem. Have you tried getting an updated video driver?

As a diagnostic, try turning down hardware (video) accelleration to zero. If that helps it is definitely a video driver problem.
