Alot of people are getting Photoshop errors in program behavior. I strongly suggest that
you get into the habit of creating entire directory state backups. I do this with DVD R and
saved my ass plenty of times. While Windows XP users can take advantage of the SYSTEM
RESTORE feature, it may not exactly be an option if it will affect other installed programs.

If you don’t have a DVD R, an external drive would help. A second installed hard drive as
well…even a sub partition. This way, the next time something freaks out and a reboot does not
help…and I do hope some of you are rebooting, you have the option of restoring your program
directory structure. It also helps to learn how to trouble shoot your own system. If you can’t
troubleshoot, at least you can do manual restore points. It only takes a few minutes to copy
a directory structure to DVD R.
