I am creating a catalog in Framemaker, and as part of the database import, I run a batch in Photoshop to re-size all the images in a directory to 100px wide. The unfortunate problem is that if the images are smaller than 100px, it enlarges them, thus losing clarity. This I don’t want.

Does anyone know how to run a batch that checks the sizes and doesn’t enlarge images if they are smaller than a given size?

Thanks batches! (oh God, I can’t believe I said that)

I’m not an actions expert, so I’m not sure, but I don’t think comparisons like this are possible.

Is it possible that your DB can store/acquire the width and height values for the image, and then you could have two actions … one to reduce the big pix, and a second one to enlarge the canvas on the small ones to 100px (if that is needed).
