Can I create a .ico file (Icon)?

I’m stumbling here. I’ve downloaded a program, but it looks like XP Paint. It will enable me to create an .ico file, but since it’s a trial, it will only let me save 10 times. I’ve already got PS 7 w/ ImageReady. Surely one of those will let me do this.

Windows Icon (ICO) file format plug-in found here
http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/
add Icon format to your save as menu.
I have it running on my Windows XP with no problems.
Might be what your looking for.

You can download my ICO file format plugin from
http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/

Install the version for your platform in Photoshop’s plugins folder, quit and re-launch Photoshop, and you will be able to Open and Save ..ico files.

There is a free plugin available – try a forum search on ".ico" it has been listed here in the past
