Hello Everybody!
I just switched from photoshop 5.5 to photoshop 7 and I’m not happy with the colors I get. I’m printing on Kodak paper, and I used to be fine when following the directions given: in printing, go customs>advanced, Photo 1440 dpi, Error Diffusion, PhotoEnhance3 – Hard.

Now, in Photoshop 7, I don’t have these options! I can choose Kodak Paper (two much red, I think, blues become very purple) , or the colorsync option, which doesn’t improve things at all.

Any suggestions? Any ideas are appreciated, I wasted a lot of ink and paper and now don’t even have ideas to waste them on.
Thank you!

First off, you should get the same printing options. The options don’t change when you upgrade Photoshop. The options are from the printer driver. Did you change printer drivers?

I have another older Epson printer, the Stylus Color 900 which has been out of date for several years now. I use Konica Photo Quality High Gloss Inkjet Paper and I’m thrilled with it. I’ve bought it online but discovered Ritz Camera sells it for what I can buy online so next time I’ll buy from Ritz. It’s heavier than the Kodak paper, is high gloss and looks great. Lynn

Try downloading and installing new drivers for the Epson. (www.epson.com)
I have the options you described without problems.
(PS7 and Epson 890)
