It depends on a lot of things. Is it just the texture you want (ie scales) or is it the color as well?
If you want just the texture, there is an option under Bevel and Emboss in the Layer Styles called bevel where you can apply a pattern as a texture. (To make a pattern, make a selection, then Edit > Define Pattern)
If you want kind of a combo of the animal skin and the human skin, carefully cut the human skin out and put on its own layer. Get a chunk of animal skin that covers all the human skin on the layer above it. Group with previous (Layer menu). Now play around with blending modes and opacity. Overlay is probably what you’re looking for.
