Hi everyone,
I use the paintbrush tool at 4 pixel size to stroke a curvy path I have made using the pen tool in Photoshop 5.5, but instead of the resulting curve being smooth and beutifull it turns out very jaggy and ugly, could someone please tell me where I’ve gone wrong?
Thanks in advance.
Samaila

I just ask you,
Have you set the hardness of the paintbrush to be smooth?

Bye, Betty.

Hi Betty,
It’s like my system is playing games with me :)! I tried drawing another path and stroked it, behold the resulting curve flows smoothly, and believe you me the roundness/smoothness setting had always been at 100%.
Thank you,
Samaila.

Hi,
Anyone out there to help me yet again? This problem is driving me nuts :)! I’m back with the same problem, but this time I hope I understand it enough to describe it.
When I stroke the path with the Paintbrush tool(Settings: Diameter= 4pixel, Hardness=100%, Spacing=25%, Angle=0%, Roundness=100%) the smothness of the resulting curve tends to depend on the jagedness of the path: if the path is jagged the stroke becomes jagged and if the path is smooth the stroke becomes smooth too, and I notice that the path is mostly jagged when it flows to a straight line or almost a straight line. Please what could be the problem?
Thanks in advance

Samaila, it seems that the problem is in Spacing=25%. Lower its value to 0% or 1% (don’t remember exactly) and It should works fine.
… with hardness=90% it would works better.

Oh Betty, it’s beutifull! Your settings have done it! I now have smooth flowing curves irrespective of the jaggedness of my paths. You’ve really made my day and thank you so very much.
