Hi all.

I have 2 monitors set up for photoshop. I am able to keep my palettes on the LCD and my work on the CRT, and I can drag those palettes from one screen to the other, no problem.

However, sometimes I need to see 2 photos side by side for comparison as I work but no way am I able to drag a photo/window onto the LCD.

I’ve tried changing primary and secondary monitor in control panel etc – but nothing seems to help. Has anyone experienced this and come up with a solution?

TIA

Ian

Drag Photoshop’s main window onto both monitors at once?

Using Win XP I simply run Photoshop in the Restore mode (non-maximized) and stretch Photoshop across both screens allowing me to see images on both screens. Might be a different solution if you are using a Mac.

Hi Ian,

yes, I have a matrox dual display card and have had the same problem as you. My work around has been to expand the photoshop window over BOTH screens. then load an image and resize it to fit a single screen. A second image can be opened in a separate window and moved over to the second screen. Viola – two images side by side over two screens.

hope this helps – if you find a better solution I would be pleased to hear it.
