Shipping of Photoshop CS

Which one is right?

You’ve obviously never pre-puchased software from Amazon. They change ship dates like most people change socks.

I pre-ordered Douglas Spotted Eagle’s book on Vegas 4 NLE and got a 6 month run-around from Amazon. Which is exactly why I thought I’d get the word from the horse’s mouth…right here at Adobe. Amazon can’t possibly ship before Adobe releases.

So what’s the answer Adobe? When do you ship to your own customers? Before or after you ship to re-sellers?

First of all this is a user to user forum, not a direct link to Adobe. Secondly, as I said previously and what you should already know from your own experience is that Amazon simply fabricates shipping dates.

They won’t ship it until they receive it from Adobe which won’t be before anyone else.

Adobe will ship to Amazon before the ship date, but Amazon will be unable to ship to their end users before the official date. If they were to, then all heck would break loose.

Remember the last Harry Potter novel? One copy got out and caused a major problem. Any retailer shipping before the delivery date would soon lose authorized status.

FYI – Adobe is now shipping CS. I just got a "now shipped" email over the weekend and they are showing "now shipping" on their website. It looks like the Amazon date was right.
