Can someone tell me how to do this fairly well?

As a joke, I want to crop a friend’s face onto another picture using Photoshop 7.

Thanks!

How original…
Let me guess, a female friend and the body is a naked one, right? Be warned that you are probably going to lose a friend and/or at least expose your bad taste

Using a layer mask I find to be really good ….. I take a cutout of the face you want to use and the surrounding area, and use a soft brush on a layer mast to remove the area around the face on the superimposed image. (this has the advantage of not being too sharp (we’ve all seen the badly lassooed faced that are stuck on top of the image behind)

Of course, it’s also very handy to make sure you’ve got a good angle on the face. If someone is looking to the left, and the picture you have is looking to the right, you may need to experiment with flipping the canvas…..but, don’t try to let the face go out of proportion, or it’ll stand out as a fake.

Colour levels are often the worst problem when trying to fake a picture….. if the skin tones and the image quality don’t appear the same, people will pick up on it straight away….. if all else fails, make the image black-and-white ….. that way you only have to worry about brightness, and not colour levels.

Hope I help ……..
