CS stands for Creative Suite. Adobe has compile a series of design and publishing softwares and have just named it Creative Suite. It is just a new version of their programs. for example, Photoshop CS is actually Photshop 8.0 and so on. They do have very cool advanced feautures though. If you’re thinking about getting it, I won’t stop you, just let me know when you get.

Quite the mixed bag of responses. Over all I get a feeling that Adobe struck a nerve.

They should rename it Photoshop NTS, for "No Tech Support." Tech support on this expensive package is now only 30 days, and beyond that you pay. I seem to recall it being one year for PS7, but then we’re in the age where tech support is an endangered species.

You’re right. Maybe next time I’ll just get a pirate copy of Photoshop and use the money towards a new computer since it seems I’m in a minority (in other groups, not this one thank God).

Activation certainly makes people feel that way. I’m sure even registered users have at least considered, if not implemented, using the available cracks on their new, registered copy of CS.

Why do you want me to let you know when I get photoshop cs? *s*

Is there any way a person could get a copy for free to try it out before I purchase it? I have nothing against paying for software if I’m going to be making use of it. Can a person purchase legal copies of "previously owned" older versions of PhotoShop?

You can download the full version of PS CS @ Adobe.com. It’s a full version that works for 30 days.

I guess that is why Adobe named it "CS" (Cheap Shot) <g>

I read Adobe has the "CS" available at their site, and it will expire after 30 days. I don’t care for it so don’t download it to try myself.
