Im currently using a PC that has a few limitations. ok…..alot of limitations. The biggest one being hard drive space. In order to run my fav progs, and half way keep up, I store all I can on CD-R.
My question is about Photoshop 7 and the additional plug-in folder. I decided to burn a cd with all my aquired plug-ins and load it from the cd rom.Im sure im saving precious HD space, but am I compromising too much in the way of performance? Keep in mind, I only run a AMD K-6, with a 4GB primary and a 2GB second HDD. Any suggestions?????(besides laying it to rest)

At the current cost of HDD’s why not just replace your secondary drive with something bigger?

Im going to do that for sure. Esp at about $1 per gig…needless to say,,money is tight so I make due. IN the mean time, is it common to store plug ins on cd-r disks?????

If you do, I would expect Photoshop to complain if the CD wasn;t on-line when you started Photoshop as it reads all plugins on startup

wouldn’t setting the ADDITIONAL PLUG INS DIRECTORY take care of that?

No. It would want to find that folder
