How can you hide the image border in PhotoShop? It’s nice to change the workspace (margin) color but the dang solid black line makes it impossible to preview my web graphics sometimes.

In Illustrator this is easy: View menu…Hide Artboard. Any such trick to hide this distracting element in PhotoShop?

Nope, that doesn’t hide the image border. I’m running CS on Windows. Still a 1pt black border around all images. Confusing when the image I’m working on has a 1pt black border (or any border) of it’s own, or when I want to preview say how an image will look on a plain background…

Any tips/solutions appreciated!

Nope, that doesn’t hide the image border. I guess I will have to go find out how to do it at http://www.artistmike.com

Seems like a good idea.

Make your border a color that differentiates and when done with everything else, just make it black again.

Hmm, that one, yes that’s a ‘feature’ of Photoshop.

For your previewing, you can make it more or less noticeable by darkening/lightening the area outside the image (in fullscreen with background mode). Set foreground colour to what you want, then shift-paint bucket the desktop area to fill it – just don’t use 50% brightness grey as you won’t see the cursor over it!
