I went to use the Lighting Effects filter for the first time in CS, and I get this error message;

"Could not complete the Lighting Effects command because a requested property value could not be found."

Does anyone know what would cause this?

Regards,

Larry

What OS, what CPU?

And my first guess is a bad install.

Did you upgrade from PS7? Did you then uninstall PS7? Any additional details will help greatly. In a prior, a reinstall has solved this.

Which is the prefered method, upgrade or uninstall? I just ordered the upgrade and will be installing it on both of my XP Pro PC’s.

Gordo,

Just install the upgrade. It will be installed to its own New folder. When you feel confident/happy with the new version, THEN is the time to uninstall your previous version….
