I need help installing Photoshop 3,0

After reformatting my hard drive, I am unable to load Photoshop 3.0 I get an message saying Bootstrp caused an error in krnl 386.exe Bootstrp will now close.

I have successfully loaded the programme on my other computer,

Any ideas

Photoshop 3 is very old now and originally it did not even run under Windows 95, only Windows 3.1. I purchased the program on a CD rom but Adobe upgraded it to run on Windows 95 by sending me a set of floppy discs.

What operating system are you trying to run it on please?

Windows ME – I’ve had it running with this os & with windows 98.

The only diff I think I have is a new cordless mouse.

My advice: get the upgrade now, while Adobe let you go back that far. Or, alternatively, buy Photoshop Elements, which is cheaper and probably out-performs PS3.

no probably about it.

39 bux for elements, or 149-169 for an upgrade to ps cs. no time like the (holiday) present! 🙂
