I do lots of presentations of my microscopy imaging and what I generally do is to adjust the image in Photoshop, then select the area of interest, copy it and then paste it in Power Point presentation. All of a sudden I am not able to do that as the layers seem locked. I was wondering if there is any way to unlock the image???

Thank you!

This may be too obvious but, is there a little lock on the layer in the layers pallet? If so, double click on it and rename.

Graffiti thank you so much…that helped, but why did this occur? I did not lock the layer in any way shape and form…

If you have an image with a single layer, it is locked by default.

Glad it worked out for you.

Gregor,

You may have better luck saving to files first anyway. Depending on the file type and compression used your Power Point file could be several times larger than it needs to be when you copy and paste.

Our marketing department in particular seems to have a problem with this. They end up with a 20 MB power Point presintation that I then have to redo so we can transfer it easily on the web or through e-mail. I can usually get a file that size down to about 1.5 MB without loosing any quality.
