I have a large file that uses 502.3MB of memory in version 7. The scratch sizes (in the lower left) show as 502.3M/1.13G. In CS, however, these numbers are 999.4M/1.13G. This would indicate that we are using 497MB more memory, yet the unused memory is the same. Does CS have an error in reporting memory used?

Thanks, Dennis Edson

Dennis,

Does CS have an error in reporting memory used?<<

No, it creates larger scratch files than did 7. If you do a forum search on "CS scratch size" Chris Cox has explained why.
