Every time I open a file it opens with the grid showing. Does anyone know how to stop this happening please? Thanks

View > Show, uncheck ‘Grid’.

Thanks John. I probably wasn’t very clear; ‘view>show uncheck grid’ works fine once the document is open, but if I close it and then re-open it or any other document the grid displays again as a default. It is this default on opening that I am trying to turn off. I should say that I’m in CS3. Thanks

Try to save a random image with Grid turned off. It should "remember" that state.
