I need to change the color of the lines in a jpeg line drawing from black to red.

I know that this is an easy question, but I am not quickly finding how to accomplish it.

Can one of you please list the necessary steps?

Many thanks.

Depends on art. Here are two ways.

Select Magic Wand tool
Click on black lines of image to select
– Change the settings for the wand to get best results
– Use shift + click to enlarge selection
Fill selection with new color
– Change settings (lighten, color) to get best results

Make selection with Magic wand as above
Click on Channels
Select red channel only
Make sure the background color is white
Fill selection with background color

Go to the red channel. Erase the lines which you want to be red. If you want all lines to be red, select all delete to a white background. Peter

Thank you for your answer.

However, this is about a completely different issue.

I cannot view my original post, nor any other possible messages to it.

I am using AOL.

I have used the List All button, which should show me all posts, including the ones that I have read – though I have never read my original one.

Anybody know what is happening?
