I had so many problems with my Win ME PC that I had to backup the Windows directory and install Win XP from scratch. NOW I have to reinstall most of my applications even though they are still on the disk. Fun!

Here is my problem, when I go to re-install Photoshop (It’s v 6.0, I can’t afford the upgrade yet.) it asks for an older ‘full’ copy of Photoshop, which was lost or tossed many moons ago.

The last time I had a similar Win Me to Win ME re-installation problem I contacted Adobe Tech Support and they gave me a work around as I had (and still have) the Photoshop Serial Number. It was a quick solution and I must have thought I would remember it as I cannot find it now.

It appears that I can no longer get Tech Support online for 6.0. Can SOMEONE please help me? I also have Acrobat to re-install but I have the original of that software.

Sincerely and thankfully,
Mike Gaudet

you need to call customer service, they’ll verify your serial and give you a temp # to work with.

When I attempt to reinstall an upgrade from photoshop 3 to 6 on XP all is well until I am asked to insert a version higher than 4. I then stick in the 6 upgrade and am told it is not valid!
Can anyone help?
Thanks

PS upgrades applied to "early" versions are valid, but you need to call Adobe Customer Support.
