Using Photoshop CS on a Dell, WIN-XP, 1gb RAM.

I create a simple action by:

1) Choosing my font, style, size, color etc.
2) Create text layer.
3) Type text
4) Move to desired location (using ruler set as a %)
5) Test the action. Works OK.

Then I use it on other photos and the font is squashed, all the characters appear to be on top of one another.

Things I tried:
1) Delete action and recreate using different fonts.
2) Delete preferences and recreate action.
3) Uninstall PS and reinstall.
4) Re-create action on different size photos at different ppi.

Resources I contacted for help:
1) NAPP
2) Yahoo’s Photoshop forum

Can anyone help? These actions worked fine in previous versions of PS. I have no idea what I’m doing differently.

When you create your action and type, make sure to check out the Font kearning and tracking before finishing your action.
