Hello.

Recently I bought an intuos3 graphic tablet which has a tilt feature for the pen. When I try to assign this as a control in the brushes, photoshop says the tablet doesn’t support the tilt feature (it displays

a triangle with an exclamation mark in it). Does anyone know how to resolve this so I can use the tilt function of the pen in photoshop? I’ve tried installing the most recent driver from wacom.com and in the tablet settings the tilt functionality is listed for the pen.

kind regards & thanks in advance for any feedback, Niek

Did you tell the tablet where Photoshop is on your drive? You have to list the exe. for each program you use the pen with. If you did, then go into your tablet properties. Click the button that says: "about" and then the diagnostics button. Tilt your pen and observe if the tilt settings for x and y co-ordinates change… If they don’t, you may have a problem with the tablet.

When I go to photoshop in the wacom tablet properties, select the grip pen and click on ‘about’ and subsequently on ‘diagnostics’ I so see the tilt is recognized (the values change as I tilt the pen). So the tablet seems to be working ok, but somehow photoshop doesn’t recognize the tilt feature.
Perhaps it’s because I used to have a graphire3 tablet and the previous driver is somehow conflicting with the current one? I do notice that the tilt feature is working in illustrator though.

The issue has been resolved. I used the utility to reset the tablet preferences
and that allowed photoshop to recognize the tilt functionality.
