How do you succesfully produce 2 spot colour gradients so they will print nicely without a grey area in the middle? need to export it to indesign afterwards.

Are you talking about a spot color to a spot color or a duotone gradient?

Why don’t you just create it in InDesign?

It would depend on what the two spot colors were. If they were complements, then 50% of each would yield gray, but if they were similar in hue, it wouldn’t be as much of a problem.

If you don’t absolutely need true spot colors (seperate plates), you could construct a composite gradient with a transitional color stop in the middle.
