CAN’T FIND PHOTOSHOP 7 PREFERENCES……

I cannot locate wherer photoshop preferences is on my computer, I am having problems with photoshop 7 shutting down before it even loads up and was told to go to this folder a certain way and I cannot find it…

Any other ideas would be nice! Thanks!

By default the preference files are "hidden." You’ll need to ‘unhide them’ (Windows setting).

Here’s the steps for Windows 2000. They will be similar to what you’ll need to do for whatever flavor of Windows you’re using:
1. From any folder window (Note: It makes no difference which folder is open. \My Documents is as good as any.) choose Tools > Folder Options.
2. Click the tab labeled View.
3. Under Hidden files and folders, click on the Show hidden files and folders option, then click OK.

Use Windows’ Start > Search > For Files or Folders function and specify *.psp as the file name search argument.

I was able to find the folder that i needed and delete the appropriate things! Thanks! Photoshop is now working for me again!
