I am looking for information/experience with color monitors being used for color correction.

What is being used and is it doing a good job? Are you using a monitor calibration software? Which one?

Most folks will tell you the best bang for the buck is the Sony Artisan, for around $1600. Comes with its own puck and software. Very nice. It’s only competition is the Barco for triple the money. You can also buy a regular Sony or Mitsu and a separate calibration system from Gretag, Colorvision or Monaco for a few hundred less. It really depends on how critical you are and what your budget is. If you’re making a living in digital color, you can’t afford not to consider the Artisan.
